Review on Mishimoto Ancillary Hose Kit for 🔴 Subaru Impreza WRX/STI 2001-2005 (Red) - MMHOSE-SUB-ANCRD by Jonathan Devarapalli

Where do I start. I have purchased several Mishimoto products in the past with excellent results, so I have come to expect unmatched quality from them; I did the complete opposite with this purchase. For a plug and play hose kit (presumably to OEM specs) this purchase was extremely disappointing. At first this hose set seems so scattered and random as far as the lines it is meant to replace - there are coolant lines but it seems like there are only 2 coolant lines for the top filler cup where there are 3. Over $100 + kit must include last 3 inch hose. The coolant lines are NOT OEM SIZE and some of them had to be cut in multiple places to fit and new clamps were required as the OD was significantly larger than the originals. The vacuum lines for the PCV system are also incomplete (2/3 for the crankcase fan line) - are you serious? That last 1 inch piece most prone to breakage was too big to accommodate? Not to mention that one of the hoses for the crank fan connector has a completely wrong ID and can't even be attached manually. It makes sense that the description of these hoses doesn't actually mention which hoses are included for replacement. Otherwise, people may find that this kit is incredibly incomplete for replacing coolant and PCV lines, as detailed by a Mishimoto representative in the Questions and Answers section. Overall I'm quite disappointed as I could have spent less than half the price on this kit and gotten a complete kit (albeit of questionable comparative quality) which I will now buy regardless of filling the gaps in which this kit was missing. These hoses fit, I will say the quality of the hoses is good. That's the ONLY reason I'm giving 2 stars. I expected a lot more from Mishimoto and now I will always question the research and development that led to these (and all Mishimoto products) being labeled as OEM replacements.
