Cane Creek Thudbuster LT comes with a 'medium' elastomer insert for riders 150-200 pounds. I'm on the low end of that range. While I was happy with the Thudbuster's performance compared to the built-in hanger I was using, I decided to purchase and install a "soft" elastomer suitable for riders. 120 to 170 pounds. Installing the new elastomer was very easy using the instructions that came with it and relatively easy, although I don't have the hand and finger strength that I used to have. But once installed, it completely transformed the ride quality. Since then, having ridden about a hundred kilometers with this combination of seatpost and elastomer, I have been very happy with both.
