If you don't want to be disturbed by noise louder than your generator, choose another product. This thing is very noisy and annoying, especially when trying to sleep at night during a power outage. I'm sure you could find something much, much quieter. I would return it but by the time I used it my return window had closed so I'm sticking with it. Also, it randomly makes a very annoying noise and stops blowing air so you have to get up and turn it on and off. Pain in the ass when you try to sleep and she does from time to time. blows a lot of bubbles but not worth the noise in my opinion.
