Review on πŸ”ͺ John Boos MPL1812125G: Premium 18x12x1.25 Inches Maple Edge Grain Cutting Board - Top Choice for Chop-N-Slice Tasks by Nick Mcvey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good for the price.

This is a worthy board for the price. But there are a few things to consider. First, rounded ends are nice, but the edges are sharp. Small problem, but also a bit annoying. Secondly, the board must be dampened and sanded several times so that it does not become rough. At this price point it would be overpriced, but it's also something you'll want to do yourself if you're worried about the roughness. Third, it would be nice if there were silicone pads for the legs at the bottom. I assume it's reversible, but putting it on the counter would be better in my opinion if it had legs. Not bad for the money but needs a bit of work to get it just right.

Pros
  • Caring for the Boos Board: Hand wash and dry (NOT dishwasher safe). Apply John Boos Mystery Oil regularly, more often in dry climates and when the board is new. Use John Boos Plank Cream to seal the wood after applying Mystery Oil. Oil and cream sold separately.
Cons
  • The list will be long.
