Review on TEKTON 2905 7-Piece Impact Screwdriver Set - 3/8 Inch Drive for Efficient Fastening by Michael Nastanovich

Great tool, just make sure you set it up right!

Like many others I bought these to work with Honda brakes. It worked great. Don't worry about beats. I suspect people cut them off because installing this tool is a bit counter-intuitive and they can actually tighten fasteners until something fails. (Mark a line on the propeller and on the rotor with a marker to make sure you're moving forward.) Many reviewers mention the lack of instructions. Here they are: Hold the tool with the black bit adapter up and the stainless steel handle down. Note the (reversed) L and R markings on the black collar. Hold the bit adapter firmly in one hand, press the stainless steel knob and turn L to loosen and R to tighten. That's all. What can be confusing: 1. L and R are swapped if you hold the adjustment tool correctly.2. If you hold the tool with the letters on the top right, the R is on the left and the L is on the right. (Hint, you're holding it wrong!) 3. It's important to remember to turn the handle, not the adapter. If you hold the tool (incorrectly) with the handle up (so that the letters are right side up), insert the black adapter and turn it towards the letter L, for example, you will be tightened. So hold the tool with the handle down so that the right and left sides are upside down, and then turn the handle, not the bit adapter. Much luck! PS: get a 4# scratch free hammer and you will have very little warping, no sparks etc.
