This dress is as beautiful as the pictures. If you have a big kid, they won't touch the floor. It went down to my daughter's ankles. What is good. I was just looking for something that barely touched the ground. My daughter usually wears 10/12 tops and 10/12 pants or 12/14 pants. I bought size 12 I think. The bodice of the dress fit her perfectly and it still matched what we were doing, we would only be happier if it was a few inches longer. :-) Basically, but go up a size and don't expect it to hit the floor.
