I'm new to off-road riding so I needed a boot that offered adequate protection for cross-country (non-motocross/jumping) riding. This is compliant. These are good beginner boots or lightweight trail riding boots that offer just enough protection while still being comfortable. They broke quickly and were never too hard. I found the buckles on these to have more length adjustment than other brands I've tried. matches every motorcycle boot. You will also lose some feel with the shifter - again this is normal and takes some getting used to. I tried 4 different boots.
