After swapping out our $100 vacuums every few years, we thought we'd see what the Dyson commercial was about. The maneuverability of the ball is very good, the cord is very long, the filtration is very good. It sucks like a jet engine, which is great for hard floors, but because the height adjusts automatically, you can't pick it up when you're on carpet, making it very difficult to push. I've read that other people have taken the head gasket off to let it breathe a little to reduce the vacuum and I might have to try that. Dyson really had to do this to have manual height adjustment. The tool hose is also a little fiddly as it's stiff like the 18" end that the tools attach to, making it difficult to maneuver when you're close to what you want to vacuum.
