I bought them a while ago so I can say with confidence that they are strong and durable! I also use them a lot when washing my hair as I work in a dental clinic - if I feel like my hair needs a wash when I get home my hair tie should be taken too - and they hold up well! They are very stretchy, I can wrap most of them three times around my hair and hold them well (I have very long and fine hair). Some of them are a bit slicker than others and they do slide a bit, but for the most part they all stay in place all day!
