The iBOLT AMPS adapter plate is a simple device but due to a design flaw it can only be used as a temporary solution. The plate consists of two injection molded components: a sphere and a plate/column. The adhesive bond between two parts is a natural weak point that is constantly stressed and eventually leads to failure of the bond. I ordered three of these and all three didn't work.
