This item is truly reusable. I followed the natural How to Make Your Cat Box Smell So Bad tutorial which included this, some pet urine pads and a litter box mat to make cleaning up the sticky walnut litter easier. A large dustpan and trash can to keep things in order. This works very well for my indoor/outdoor cat, but when she had to stay home after spaying, it wasn't much better than the usual stink boxes. Also, this box holds rubbish really well and rarely spills like a regular little plastic box. I have used over the years. I really like it and the fact that I can hose it down so it stays clean on the outside. I see some people do it with plastic, but it seems pretty rude to me to even think about it, so this metal is perfect for me.
