Got this along with an adjustable bamboo organizer for other utensils. I placed this on one side of the drawer and then pressed the organizer against it. Depending on the width of the handle, a variety of knives can be placed in it. I have a dozen steak knives (although clogged), a longer bread knife, and a few small cheese knives. The trick with the cheese knives was that I left some space at the bottom of this rack and in the front of the drawer. See those slits at the front of the block? If your drawer is deep enough, you can use it and leave the knife handles in the bottom of the drawer! Ideal for small cheese knives with 4" handles.
