Review on πŸͺš Woodraphic Dovetail Saw Guide Jig Marker: Magnetic, Upgraded Version (1:8 for Hard Wood) by Jair Baltrusch

Excellent when used correctly.

I have an old design, looks more like a parallelogram than a trapezoid. I wish I had this one because the old one on the left side of the board doesn't work that well. This is not a problem with a loading flap. Otherwise it's great. I find the best way to use this is with a light touch of the saw. Just let the device find the corner. Strong magnets hold the saw in place. Do not attempt to operate the saw yourself. Some people complain that the saw cuts into plastic, but I suspect they are either using a saw with too much kerf or putting a slick magnetic part under the saw's cutting edge. Hold the magnet guide on the workpiece so that the cutting edge of the saw does not cut into it. You want a thin dovetail saw with a minimal kerf and a stiff back. When used correctly, this guide does a fantastic job.
