This is a great little sharpener for my colored pencils, although it's small it does the job and won't gnaw or destroy my prisms. It works with all my pencils, Prisma, Polys, Castle, Star Joy, even square brutfuners with no problems. Can't beat the price, I just ordered another one to have on hand. How to use this auto-feed sharpener: Place the tip of the pencil into the hole and gently push until you feel a very slight resistance, stop. push. Now start turning the handle, you will see the pencil being drawn into the sharpener, getting ready to sharpen, and after a few twists of the handle you will hear it start to sharpen. I usually give my crayons 4 or 5 turns. , but if the pin is broken it may take more turns to get a sharp point again.
