I live in an economy apartment, so I don't have a stove or oven. I bought this wok to be able to cook a larger variety of dishes. I mainly used it to boil water for pasta or to fry eggs. In both of these roles he almost always performed well. It heats up very quickly, once I turn it on I can usually start frying an egg within a minute or two and as long as the lid is on the water boils quickly too. It consists of two parts, a pot and a lower heating part. They'll stick together securely, but if you remove part of the pan it won't have a good surface to sit on, so don't plan on just taking the pan and using it to serve food. There was a time when it would just turn off when frying scrambled eggs and wouldn't turn on for about twenty minutes. It later started up again and has been working flawlessly ever since. My best guess is that since I washed it just before using it some water got into the heating mechanism and this caused it not to work, but once the water evaporated it worked again. The only other issue I've had is that it plugs into the same extension cord as my microwave and I've found that I can't use both at the same time without overloading the extension cord. This problem should be easily solved if you want to plug it into the outlet or not use it at the same time as other electrical devices on the same lane.
