They may be a little big, but not by much. He wears a 13 or 1 depending on the brand and as we were planning to save them for fall I bought 1 knowing they would be large. For me this turned out to be perfect as they are big enough to grow with me but not so big that he can't carry them now. Which is great because he loves them and has worn them since they got here. Not sure about the durability yet, but after several hours of play they hardly rubbed or scratched anywhere. I saw this kid rip a pair of tennis shoes in one day. I expect these shoes will pleasantly surprise me.
