Make sure the filters you buy have rubber on both sides

If my (brand new reluctant) shop vacuum isn't made like everyone else's, they really "don't fit". The ones that came with my vacuum have rubber bands on both ends. They don't have elastic on either end and are closed on one side so you can't use the large screw cap that keeps the filter tightly closed from the bottom. Flowed all over the floor.
