This automatic bin will be a great helper in the kitchen. It has wheels to move it and an internal filter to block odors (which I think would be better if it was mounted horizontally rather than vertically to keep dirt out). The lid opens when something is placed in front of the sensor and stays open as long as the sensor is activated. It has a flashing red signal light that shows the lid is open because the sensor is activated. After the sensor has been triggered, the lid stays open long enough to allow debris into the tank and then closes again. You will like this jar for its usefulness.
