I have thin shins and ankles. The velcro strap that goes around the calf only has a very small section with velcro. The case has little space to attach, causing it to open up often. Especially at night when I sleep. I wish the velcro was thicker. This worked for me, but I think it would be better if the big velcro adhesive pad was bigger. Update: There are definitely better braces out there. This does not work as promised. The velcro doesn't hold up and it's a terrible concept of how it's done. Look elsewhere
