I am very happy with this product. I've looked everywhere including Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. Most retailers have rug runners with spikes underneath. This is a flat bottom for wooden floors. I just upgraded my almost 60 year old original hardwood floors and want to keep them pristine. But I made some bird rooms for my parrots. I write this down to keep the floors clean and tidy. All food and feces go in here and is very easy to clean. Vacuum first, then dry. And for a more intense clean, take them outside once a month, loosely roll them up, and soak them in a tub big enough with some Dawn to really keep them clean. Let them air dry and they're ready to go. My purposes aside, these make great runners for any hardwood floor for other reasons. Very strong and they can be straightened easily.
