Cleans well, does not crack or discolour. My experience with several other brand pans of the same size shows that they continued to crack near the rim after only a month of use. Other brands, on the other hand, lose elasticity and become brittle (in less than a year) and crack at the edges and sides. Finally, other brands of plastic absorb cat feces and urine, making them difficult to clean and keep clean (especially fecal stains). This brand, the Van Ness litter box, proves that they deal with these issues and hold their own very well. Another smart use, these trays also work well as storage boxes when paired with a specific trolley. The Seville Classics Heavy Duty Office Utility Cart ($50 at Revain) is the utility cart I prefer for mobilizing my cat supplies around my kennel. Van Ness toilet buckets literally fall into the holder of a trolley originally designed for suspension files. The trolley is sold as an office trolley but this is the best general purpose trolley I have found for my nursery needs. I like that it's smaller than other steel (chrome) utility carts but still has more cargo capacity than you would expect from a larger cart. Also, this is the only cart I know of that also uses plastic storage containers (Van Ness trays).
