Successful installation eliminates HDMI cables running across living room floor

I used to sometimes run a 15 foot HDMI cable across my living room floor, from the TV's HDMI port on a wall to the sofa I'm sitting on . I have either an iPad or a laptop. I wanted to avoid tangled cables on the floor and find a clean solution. Using the Tripp Lite wall panels (I've posted two pics) I've managed to run the Category 6 cable down to the basement so the transmission panel is in the wall. behind my sofa I was very surprised that I was able to get a signal even with a few HDMI segments including an HDMI auto switch without power! Took me 3 hours from start to finish including cutting holes for the panels, drilling holes in the bottom and punching the connections. If you have never connected network cabling, it will take longer. Here's my specs, starting with the send side (iPad): 1) iPad (with Apple video adapter dongle) 2) 15" StarTech HDMI cable (shared) behind couch. This length is enough for a sofa or across our half wall to our kitchen. 3) Tripp Lite HDMI transmitter board. 4) Belden Media Twist Cat 6 cable 32 feet long. Route under the floor of the family room in the basement. 5) Tripp Lite HDMI receiver board. 6) High Speed HDMI Mediabridge with Ethernet, 6ft. 7) Ultra high performance HDMI switcher, 3to1 switcher (I checked). ***** Since this switch is not powered, it is not powered by the iPad itself. You must enable one of the other input devices (e.g. game console, disc player). *****8) 15" StarTech HDMI cable9) TV So my route consists of a 32ft Cat 6 cable, 3 HDMI cables (15' + 6' + 15') and an HDMI Switch. No issues in the dozen or so times I've used the plates so far. That's a total of 68ft Cat 6 and HDMI. UPDATE February 20, 2013: I've used this with an iPad/laptop setup for about 2 Hours a week used watching Top Chef Last Chance Kitchen and occasionally projecting from my laptop.HDMI.
