It is a pleasure to pull the filling from the cage filling etc. into the bowl and throw it away. I wish it would work a little better with paper litter (it's not as soft as clumpy litter) but if you have a pet (ferret) in your room and want to get rid of it quickly. That's great. You probably won't need it, but it's very handy and since this is my second round of ferrets I knew what I wanted. If you scoop out feces for 10 years, you can put the litter box in the scoop of the cage and empty it out. Repeat daily.
