We have this to replace a broken camera in the living room just to keep an eye on the cats when we're out during the day. I didn't have high expectations for this price range, but overall they exceeded our expectations. The box includes a camera (hardwired to the base), a long USB cable and a 110 volt plug (which is rare). these days). It also comes with a circle of double sided tape if you want to stick the mount somewhere and a screw template with screws and anchors if you want to mount it permanently. So they really get you. It didn't take long to set up and it actually took longer to connect to Alexa than it did to the app. Of course, you can only access it through the app, Alexa, or Google and not over the web, but it's useful nonetheless. The app is better than the last few apps I've used with these types of cameras. Motion detection is accurate, screen recording is crystal clear, and in-app recording is pretty easy. I didn't purchase cloud storage so can't comment on that, but I'd be prepared if it involved watching live video from an internet browser, which it doesn't. The picture is pretty clear. It's a wide POV and for the most part it's fine. What I would like is the ability to rotate the screen to landscape for a better view of the camera view. The app doesn't have this functionality and instead shows a wide image on the phone, but only in portrait mode, so everything is compressed. That's a little disappointing for an otherwise decent app. It took a bit of trial and error, but I got it working with Alexa. It shows up on my Alexa app and Echo Show with no issues, but there's definitely a strong fisheye effect to get the full picture. You can do it from an Alexa/Google device or smartphone, then you shouldn't have any problems with it. I wouldn't make this a core part of my home security system, but checking that my cats aren't tearing up the living room is a perfectly reasonable goal for a camera like this.
