Review on 📚 Humble Crew, Natural/White Kids Book Rack Storage Bookshelf with Spacious Sleeves, Universal by Tim Crowder

When this shelf was first delivered, one of the bars was damaged so the screws could not be screwed in. We returned it and ordered a replacement. Replacement and it had a screw with a piece of dirt stuck in the slots on the Philips head but I was eventually able to knock it out and complete the build. My 18 month old son was happy to help me put it together and he understood what it was for and how it worked when I showed him how to put the books on. He can easily reach all pockets. The frame seems strong enough. I doubt the cloth bags will last very long, but I don't think it will be too difficult to use the original as a template for sewing replacements in the future. Cons - there is a gap between the top bar and the wall. My son immediately started tossing books into the slot where they got lost behind a shelf. As soon as he realized where they had gone, he tried to hide by knocking over a heavy shelf full of books. He can easily fall on him if he pulls him from the front. I doubt it will be anything more than scary and head-butting, but having to use staples to attach it to the wall and then having to deal with the things attached to the wall when looking for lost books will be tiresome . behind him. It doesn't fit many books. Honestly, that doesn't really surprise me, but I have yet to put up a large shelf nearby and I guess we'll keep his current favorite books on this one where he can easily get them himself. Smaller books are not visible/easy to find due to the depth of the pockets. I'll probably put small bins nearby for them. Think of books that are about 5" x 5" or smaller. If you look at the picture you will see several smaller copies of the book that are on the floor or propped up in front of the shelf. If I find it necessary I will update this review after some use.
