Review on πŸš— Enhanced Bluetooth Car Kit by Kinivo BTC450 - Hands-Free Adapter with 3.5mm Aux Input, Apt-X Technology by Djuan Thompson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good music quality, decent phone calls

For devices with older technology (Bluetooth 2.1), it still works well with my Samsung Galaxy S21. I replaced a broken MPOW Streambot 2 (have owned it for years) with this one and compared it to an Aston SoundTek A2 (slightly newer Bluetooth 4.1). Note. I tested in a quiet garage with the car off; So this is not a noise reduction test. 5/5 Music Quality: Music quality is on par with SoundTek (using Tidal's HiFi tracks), but there's a slight lag in system sounds, likely due to the lack of APT-X. low latency 4/5 call quality: the call quality is clear; however, it cuts out most of the low frequencies. This is probably for noise reduction. Basically, both ends sound like you're talking in a tin can, but the voice is clear. Build Quality 5/5: The size is okay (slightly larger than the MPOW Streambot, slightly smaller than the SoundTek A2), feels solid, and the cables feel reasonable. A NOTICE. The cables are significantly stronger than the MPOW Streambot and only slightly thinner than the SoundTek A2.4/5. It comes with its own power connector so you never know if you'll burn it up with yours; But the built-in USB charging port is only 1A, so pretty much useless for today's phones. Streambot - so if all you need is quality music, then this device could be for you!

Pros
  • Requires 3.5mm audio input on car stereo. Built-in microphone and convenient music control
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
