NOT 360 degree smooth positioning.

I installed it to use on my new Shoei Neotec 2 helmet to mount a GoPro camera. Since the base receiver was slightly out of order, I needed something to compensate for the camera angle so the video was parallel to the ground when viewed. as a solution, but while installing and setting up following the instructions, I noticed that there are detents on the pan axis that I CANNOT use to get the angle right. So it looks like I'll have to remove the base mount to compensate? Does it contradict the purpose of the purchase? I could have done it WITHOUT this contraption which actually made the overall fit of my new helmet heavier. Good idea, good quality but poor execution, misleading advertising and misleading information. Try it on my old modular helmets that require worse angle correction than this new helmet and see how useful it is to them. As for the stability, it is NOT stable at all, I can move it after installation, which causes vibration noise in the video. Reliability is subjective due to the above issue. If I can move it by hand, it is NOT durable. This could be using a helmet as all my helmets have their own mounting base and are all in different positions. To get rid of the vibration rattle I may need to make it permanent with super glue or Loctite. I'll decide later. For $10.99 I could do the repair for free without it as I have many base mounts that come free with the camera to remount with more accuracy.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
