Interesting Fact: Satin/Satin is not a material but a weave and the cotton in this weave is called satin and the silk and polyester in it is called satin. That being said, the pillowcases definitely sparkle because of the fabric and I love that. They are soft to the touch and work well as a pillowcase. The color I ordered (black) looked exactly as advertised. PS: If you are ever unsure whether it is cotton or polyester, you can quickly find out by pouring some water on the fabric. If the water fizzes and beads up you most likely have polyester, if it soaks up you most likely have cotton.
