Foam fits my surfboards perfectly. I buy two pairs of 19" spacers to place my boards next to each other, 2x2. Long boards over 9 feet and short boards. Also, no holes have to be made in the coating material. Open the velcro, pull the foam. from the pockets at each end, place the foam on the rack, wrap and secure the lid onto the foam. I wouldn't use them for anything heavy like a kayak. Thanks also to the seller who rushed with the second pair after I informed him that I had only received one of the two pairs ordered.
