First, I like that it's red. It took a little research to figure out how it works as there were no instructions in English. Parts in the box fell off or it was partially disassembled, so at first I thought it was broken. After putting all the pieces together and figuring out how it works, we were hooked. This works very well. Can be sharpened smoothly without chewing pencils. The clamp on the table isn't very tight, but there's no need to hold the sharpener in place after you've inserted the pencil, freeing your other hand to hold the sharpener while turning the handle . A table clamp is required to prevent the sharpener from falling to the floor when not in use.
