Review on Flash Furniture Ergonomic Reclining Slide Out Furniture for Home Office Furniture by Jennifer Davis

Defective design, serious problem!

I've owned this product for less than a year and it was a complete failure. The weight of the chair is well below the manufacturer's specification of 205 lbs. The main problem is that the tilt function is controlled from the right side. This means that when you recline (as intended), an inherent twisting force acts on the control lever side of the backrest. This combined with a terrible weld eventually leads to a very early failure. On one occasion, as I reclined, I noticed that the backrest seemed "loose". The bolts used to work on their own, so I figured I'd just tighten the hex nuts that hold the backrest in place. When shutting down, I noticed that the whole bracket was "dangling". Realizing the screws were tight and the backing wobbly, I decided to open the vinyl cover. The control button was completely broken off from the backrest reinforcement. Terrible design. Other downsides to this chair include cheap upholstery that almost flattens out after less than a year of use. The vinyl armrests are already cracking. Just a terrible product. a more detailed assessment. Yes, I really liked this chair for the first 4 months. Then it started to deteriorate, since the true quality of the chair is only known after prolonged use. I strongly recommend not buying this chair unless you agree to the replacement in less than a year.
