This is a very good pair I consider professional pedicure scissors but I am not a professional manicurist. I regularly trim my mother's nails, which causes problems. She is 91 years old and her feet are very crippled, so her toenails are severely deformed and some of them are very difficult to cut. Her toenails, left untrimmed, grew massively around her toes, and others grew back and hit the top of her slippers. I found them impossible to cut with a standard cutter of any size. I tried the pedicure scissors I bought from Sally and found them useless as it was too difficult to safely control what I was cutting (I returned them!). However, these scissors are VERY precise and handy. I can cut slowly and evenly, with controlled precision in cutting exactly where the nail needs to be cut, and I can evenly cut the nail as close to a living being as possible. I'm thrilled with the control and feel that scissors. They are made of high quality stainless steel; They look and feel expensive. They have a smooth glide when opening and closing. I would say they are heavy as they cut my mother's nails which are thicker and harder than usual. These scissors are easy to hold. The inside of the finger and thumb rings measures 0.8 x 0.7 inches (or 1.27 x 2.032 cm) at the widest point. See pictures with measuring tape in inches. I think these scissors will fit most large hands as the ring does not go past the first knuckle of the thumb and middle finger (3rd finger) when used. For every woman they will be perfect. I'm sure these scissors will last forever if not abused.
