Very comfortable
I love this hat. My 3 year old girl has long thick hair and I hate letting her hair down just to fit her hats. I can tie her hair in a ponytail and the hat will still keep my head and ears warm. The hole is not too big as it leaves room for cold air to enter. It is an elastic band that allows the hole to stretch to allow thick hair to be braided through.
