Review on ๐Ÿ“ถ ARRIS SURFboard mAX Plus Mesh AX7800 Wi-Fi 6 AX Router System: Unleash Ultimate Wi-Fi 6 Speed and Coverage by Doug Taylor

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Definitely don't buy it!

Updated 3/12/2019 I need to update my review and change my rating from 5 stars to 1 star. I've had the device for about 50 days now and have had to call 'customer service' 3 times. The device keeps failing and after an hour (and moving the accessory twice) the support team couldn't get it to work. More importantly, there's no way to get a replacement or refund without going through several tiers (and waiting on the phone if they call). By the way, I don't know if that's true. A support rep told me that Arris was bought by another company (CommScore?). Again, take this with a pinch of salt, but that may be why they don't currently endorse any products. First Review I had to buy a new router and most importantly I need a mesh router with WiFi 6. This SURFboard Max met and exceeded my expectations. Pros: - Tri-band router: This setup has a separate band for communication between two network devices and communicates at GHz speeds. - WiFi 6, also known as WiFi AX: This future guarantees a purchase for several years. - Network: Even though my house is less than 2,000 square feet, we had a few dead spots. NO Longer is an application to help you set it up: it's a much better option than logging into the router through a browser. We were up and running in about 25 minutes (mainly because of where I wanted to place the equipment). And that includes calling tech support to ask some silly questions (like how to dim the lights on a device) and updating the firmware. as expensive as I want. Conclusion - a great router that will serve my needs for years to come.
