Wow, how easy it is. I need an extender (which creates a separate Wi-Fi network by connecting to an existing Wi-Fi) to extend Wi-Fi coverage from my house to my separate garage and yard. Although I have a really nice Asus RT-N66U that I love, it just isn't enough to get into my garage through at least 2 stucco walls and 4 brick walls (but I can get a signal over 100 meters in other directions). I didn't want to move the Asus router as it would mean rerouting the ethernet cables to the hardwired computers and cables for the internet router, so I bought this inexpensive repeater instead. full instructions on the Foscam website and used the steps from section 2.4 and was done in 10 minutes (maybe less). I renamed the network (see section 2.1 in the manual), moved it to a later house towards the garage and now I have a network to use in the garage and backyard. I was surprised by both the simplicity and the price. I'm definitely glad I paid $24 instead of having to re-route network and cable wires in the attic and outside of the house. Here's the tip that I hope will save you the most time since it hung me up a bit. The default password is "admin", not 12345678 as suggested in the instructions.
