Review on 📄 GBC Paper Shredder LM12-30 (1770055): Jam-Free, 12 Sheet Capacity, Micro-Cut, Ideal for 20+ Users, Black by David Hayden

I took the GLM1130 to replace an old paper shredder I bought from a warehouse a few years ago. This item was purchased for home use and I got such a good deal that it was in my price range. That is amazing. It's pretty quiet for its size. Once I got it up the stairs and figured out where we were going to use it, we gave it a try. I filled the oil reservoir to about 60cc. see the supplied oil, place the paper and plastic bags in the hopper area and switch to automatic mode. Wow! You don't need to worry about security anymore. It gives out very small slips of paper. It also shreds credit cards and data CDs. It will turn off automatically after just a few minutes if nothing is used to destroy. It's quite massive (from a pallet of about 140#). Previous pros and cons have cited the downsides that it doesn't stand on wheels and that the shredded remains of CDs and credit cards are disposed of with the paper. There is no such thing with this one! It has wheels and is easy to move and now has a small plastic container to put in. The packs are expensive and you should use their oil as it won't void your warranty, but overall this is the best shredder I've used. Lasts for years with proper care!
