Please read this review before purchasing this pump for non-submersible use. While I'm not the first to complain about pump seal issues, the photos should help you better understand why. The contact surface of the sealing disc is less than 2 mm. At best, it's too tight. In addition, the seal is of poor quality. Harder than soft and pliable will probably help with a narrow edge. Only the outer edge of the seal sits on a thin edge. Of course, a wider lip can result in less flow, but at what cost. It could probably be ok for underwater use, but I can't confirm as it's not what I need or want. Can't deliver the amount of lift it can as it was intermittent. This may be due to the nature of the leaking seals. The pressure actually seemed good, putting it in a bucket of water and letting it shoot out the top of the pump. I have exceeded the return period (30 days) at idle to see if I can "fix" the leak. Don't follow the same path as me. Think before you buy!
