These knives are not very good. do you cut things? of course, but when you hold them in your hands you can feel how cheaply they are made. I used it to cut a piece of cheese and thought it would break in my hand. Should have just bought 1 good knife instead of trying to get some borderline junk kit. UPDATE: This is just a day after this review was first posted, but I took a star off because using knives this morning showed once again how much rubbish they are. The black coating of the blades has come off the food that I cut, there were only small black spots everywhere. BEWARE OF THIS KNIFE UPDATE 2: Have owned them for almost 2 months. The most commonly used knife is already as blunt as it gets and barely cuts green peppers or onions. This set is hot junk
