This stand has the front legs "collapsed" in relation to the back legs. The customer "opens" the stand during the assembly process before installing the display. Unfortunately, the connection that makes this folding possible is only strong in the upright position. In some other orientations, these joints are not strong enough to support the (counterweighted) hind legs. I was carrying this stand from one room to another and while it was lying on its side the leg levers snapped both joints. That's right, once assembled, the product literally self-destructs if you lay it on its side. The warning label does not warn you to keep the stand upright at all times. I have owned many Samsung devices over the years and have found them to be extremely reliable and well made. It's surprising how flimsy this design is, especially at the premium price point.
