I bought this bed for my 9 year old daughter almost a year ago. I love it! Assembly? Light. Looks? Great, like in the picture. So what could be the problem? The trusses that support the mattress are made entirely of sheet metal. I went to change the mattress and never noticed how the bars were bent! A 9-year-old girl sleeps on it. I'm sitting on the bed and I weigh 125 pounds and the support bars are flexing?!? To give you a better idea of the quality of these bars. I was able to bend them back myself (kinda okay, not really)! I'm not a huge Armstrong fan at 125 pounds. I don't work and I could bend them! Well if you use this for an adult. I guarantee you will end up on the floor. All that was on the frame was a mattress, no bed spring and a mattress, just a mattress. If you're like me you probably never check your bed's support rails, why would you? At least so far. I bought 3 beds in the same style (not sure if same seller but same style) and I'm afraid to look at other frames. The only thing I can do right now, other than spend more money on ANOTHER bed frame, is get a larger particle board to rest on the rungs and side rails to keep the weight down and balance them out. Pretty sad if you ask me. I've never seen that in a bed, especially when a child sleeps on it! Is this suitable for a baby? Maybe I don't know, but if I do, I promise it won't be long before you need to replace it. Obviously, if I had known that, I would have gotten something else, at least temporarily. I would rather spend the extra money for better quality than buying multiple bed frames. So the moral of the story. no, just don't waste your money, seriously. If all the positive reviews here were updated and people checked out the bars, the star ratings wouldn't be half what they are. I intend to leave a 5 star review by tonight.
