Great product at a great price. Don't buy the same kit for $50 and up, they all do the same thing. I installed this on my Mazda3, it took less than 2 hours - and most of the time was spent figuring out how to remove the trim in the trunk and where to route the wires in the trunk and under the dash to get the perfect integrated look to achieve. I bought this product instead of a head unit with screen + rear view camera because my Mazda has some external modules that only work with the factory head unit - some buttons and 2 external screens. I needed a solution which is completely independent of the factory wiring. This backup kit fits the bill perfectly. The photos show the installation. *NOTE* - The horn, which beeps more frequently the closer you get, is REALLY LOUD. 2 times louder than the loudest you want to hear. I loosened 2 screws on the display, took out the beeper speaker and put a piece of thick double sided tape on it. This reduced the volume to an acceptable level. Don't worry about the technical part of this process - you just drilled through the bumper and ran the wires all the way through the car, it's easy! β If you want to install the display upside down (e.g. under the rearview mirror), open it. top as above and fold the LCD inward. It is rectangular with slots in both directions - Connect the sensors in order from LEFT TO RIGHT - 1, 2, 3, 4 - then the strips will show exactly which side the obstacle is on - Display in metres. I'm fine, I mentally measure in metric, but if you're happy with the standard, imagine it's in yards, you won't get more than a 10% discount. - Apply masking tape to the bumper where you will drill. This prevents cracking of the paint and keeps the drill hole clean. ---- ONLY connect to reversing light or reversing power wire! It doesn't always have to be on, just when you're backing up. - The loading time is about 1 second (from the moment you turn it over to the moment it shows real-time data). - Check the sensors, put them in reverse (not an actual backup) and have someone walk closer and closer to each sensor. So I knew that one of my sensors was defective. The seller quickly replaced for free, I received a replacement 4 days after notifying the seller.
