A few years ago I bought some fitness headphones and settled on the Hesh series. For the price, they seemed to have the best sound compared to the Bose, Sony, and Beats I've owned or tried before. When they finally broke (2.5 years later) I planned to replace them with the same ones, I bet I read the reviews on the Evo and decided to give it a try. The ONLY plus is the longer battery life, although there are a few downsides. First, the overall volume is noticeably smaller. Second, the bass level is also lower, and that was one of the big advantages of the Hesh, especially over the Beats I've had. Finally, the ear pads are firmer and less comfortable than the Hesh. Overall I would like to save a few extra bucks and buy an older model that I knew worked great, the Evo is definitely not an improvement.
