Review on Set of 2 Tuff Support Liftgate Lift Supports Compatible with 1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner by Carlos Henley

I was initially hesitant to buy it as some reviews said it wasn't strong enough to raise or hold the tailgate open. I have a 98 foot 4Runnner and my previous ones were showing wear and tear, when I opened the tailgate it sagged and I had to support it with my shoulders to get something out of my back which was very annoying as you can imagine. I put them on after about 6-8 minutes and that's because I didn't know what I was doing and I have to say I'm absolutely amazed by the power of the kicks. Not only do they hold my back door open, they lift it up like it's brand new from the factory. I am very glad I received them and so far more than satisfied with the product. If anything changes I'll post an update, but for now I'm very happy. The only thing I would change is that I would like it to come with new hardware as well. I know it's pretty common to come without hardware, but it would make the process a lot better if it did. I can't imagine it being much larger and I wouldn't mind spending a few bucks more if it came with new hardware. I'm sure the slot of yours will agree. Otherwise, I still give it 5 stars because I knew there was no hardware included with the purchase.
