I recently needed to cut some 1/4" slits in wood and I used one of the slits that was smaller than the width , so I could make sure the cut wasn't too big.The first problem I had was that they were on a 5/16" arbor (1/4" router shank, but 5/16" -top) and didn't come with a bearing as pictured. The next problem I had was that I didn't have enough washer length from the threaded end of the mandrel to the slot. Luckily I had a set of bearings (skateboard ) with an inner diameter of 8mm and a thickness of 7mm I used 2 bearings and a washer and it worked great have given more stars but da mu I had to come up with something to make it useful and it shows it matters, but it doesn't.
