Took her on an epic hike through Angels Landing and Narrows in May 2021. It held up fairly well until the end of the Narrows hike, where the rubber broke from the extra support strap held up on either side. They may have worked well for hiking shoes, but I've used them for running shoes (Angels Landing) and water shoes (The Narrows) for comfort reasons. The only problem I had was that it came off the toe of the shoe. If it had 2 pairs of support straps (4 total) I would set it up to stay in place. They work so well at rock grabbing on both hikes, especially wet/slick rock grabbing in tight passes. I will buy two more pairs. He has already scheduled another trip to Angels Landing and the Narrows for August 2021 (Bryce Canyon) for my son's 15th birthday, he is excited.
