Henckels make various styles of cutlery; Chinese, Spanish and German. They're German and about as good as a good home cook could ever need. I have a number of them that I've used daily for the last several decades. Sharpen and sharpen them about every two years; They have to outlive you. I gave them to my daughter (because her husband is too busy to keep his blades sharp). I also added a 7 inch santoku knife as this is my knife and for some reason this set doesn't include it.
