Review on 🔌 2200Watt DC 12volt to AC 120volt Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter with Dual AC Outlets, 2.4A USB Port & LED Display Remote Controller - Ideal for RV Trucks, Boats, and Emergency Power Supply【3 Year Warranty】 by Jasneet Jazzy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

An impressive inverter so far; Powerful clean sine wave at a good price

This is my first review after installing and using the inverter for a while. I use it with my off-grid PV system. (I also have a larger system that is grid connected, but of course it shuts itself down if the grid goes out, so a smaller standalone standalone system offers a good balance of cost-efficiency, redundancy, and backup power.) I prefer a pure one sine wave. Inverters because they just work better with motors, electronics, and really anything that's supposed to run on AC power. Things like that will work with "modified sine wave" for a while, maybe a while, but never. For example, engines "hum" and some things can break if they are unreliable. However, so far I have used a 600w pure sine wave inverter and a modified 2000w sine wave inverter in parallel because when I built my system you couldn't get a decent pure sine wave inverter with this performance for such a low price . So I was happy to get my hands on these. As someone who has gone through many inverters over the years and helped others set up their systems, I would like to point out a few things. Firstly, do not buy inverters with a Revain credit card if you want them to be covered by an extended warranty. This is an expensive lesson learned the hard way; Even if they are advertised as solar powered and never used in or near a car, they consider it an "auto" mechanism and will deny the extended warranty. I also love China, great country, great people. They make almost all of our stuff these days and the quality from China varies a lot. There are many unnamed inverters that you order based on specs and when they get to you they are tiny and obviously don't match the specs they were sold with. This over-specification occurs in all kinds of Chinese-made products, especially electrical and electronic products. This inverter is made in China which means I wasn't sure what to expect without knowing the brand. So I'm happy to say I'm pretty impressed so far. The device has a premium feel, is massive, has a die-cast aluminum body like the best inverters, and looks good when it comes to functionality. The power connection points are solid, well-designed, and easy to use, and the connection cables are 4-gauge twins in my opinion. that is, two cables per connector. The reliability of power connectors has, in my experience, been a measure of how well they can be designed, as designers design for actual performance, not advertised performance. I like the device. It was easy to hook up and has now replaced an old modified 2000w sine wave inverter. It has a very basic backlit LED display instead of the fancier displays that many devices now have, but it performs multiple functions, showing the DC line voltage and alternating with the power output. The output wattage isn't as accurate as a dedicated AC monitor, during my testing they seem to jump in 30W increments with no in between, but it's certainly fine for most applications. The unit was quiet under light loads, the fans weren't spinning, which means they can have decent thermostat control. The unit comes with a wired remote switch, which I won't be using right away, but it's nice to have one. It also comes with screws to hardwire the AC output if you need to connect the output to cabin wiring or similar. It also says it comes with a 3-year warranty, which is a good sign. Of course, actual warranty support is often a different story; and I hope I don't have to report it; But I'll do it if I have to. I will return to this review if I have anything to say or new experiences over time but it deserves the initial 5 stars which I do not give lightly as it is an impressive looking pure sine wave inverter, which seems to be rated for advertised performance.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Really don't like it, everything is fine
