Fits 2013 1.8L Chevy Sonic Engine
Fixed error P0171 on a 2013 Chevy Sonic 1.8L. The PCV valve installed in the valve cover has failed. This part fits perfectly. I found a YouTube video that explains how to fix it. I took the car to a mechanic to check the smoke to make sure it was the PCV valve. The engine made an odd whistling/breezy noise as well as poor gas mileage and shaking at poor idle. You will need a Torx T-30 bit and an inverted Torx T-10 socket. Tighten to 71 in. lbs.
- If the valve cover comes loose or the gasket material fails, oil will leak out. A leak can cause a very strong smell of burned oil to enter the engine and in some serious cases it can even cause a fire if enough oil gets into the exhaust system. By detecting a leak early, you can improve your vehicle's performance.
