I bought these for general metal polishing with a Dremel. I've bought smaller, wider fabric wheels in the past, but they're expensive and a bit wasteful as the metal interface becomes unusable as the fabric wears out. They can only be felt 100%. They are very easy to use - you load a arbor into your Dremel, twist the felt pad and you're done. I have used various polishing pastes with it and only used it to buff the surface for the final shine. They are relatively well suited for both purposes and quickly remove tarnished surfaces. They're decently strong, with a slightly squat and thick profile, and a nice edge that lets you free up nooks and crannies. I would keep your speed below 5km though as they can separate if you move too fast or apply too much pressure. They are good for simple polishing when you want to remove a lot of material cheaply. For a finer finish, I recommend using fabric circles (similar to ASIN B000FBF3OC) instead.
