UPDATE: Having replaced the roller bearing once since purchasing this item on November 12th, 2016, the powerhead now completely shuts down 30 seconds after powering up. , even when the roller is off the ground without a load. This is after 4.5 months of light use 1-2 times a week. Of course, my "return" date for the Revain is now past, so if Miele doesn't decide to honor the one-year warranty, it's going to be a total waste of $150. very good. During this time I had to change the roller bearings and a roller twice. I also had to redesign the circuit board in the power head. Over the years we've learned how to remove accumulated pet hair from the roller during use and at the end of the day, so after 15 years we decided it was time for a new brush head. This is a real Miele. A factory part that looks very similar to our unit's original power head. We've had this head for about 5 weeks and today when I used it I was greeted with a burning smell so I took off the roller cover to find that one of the roller bearings had already failed and for those that once hadn't know bearing fails, it also destroys the role. Very disappointed that Miele has not taken the time to resolve this issue or respond to inquiries regarding this issue. , Dirt entering the rolling bearing area, accumulating and destroying the bearings. I have attached 2 photos, one with the bearing destroyed, then one with the drive side bearing, this is what the other bearing SHOULD look like. So much for the high quality German tech, I guess you don't get what you pay for. With an expected lifespan of 5 weeks we could buy a China made Shark upright stand which would last longer for the price of this powerhead. We strongly advise you not to waste your money.
